Pats have drawn 0-0 though.
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaherfur have just gone 1-0 up against Longford.

Pretty bad result, but can't say it wasn't expected. Just need a win now next week, although i'd say we're fairly safe now. Please correct me if i'm wrong there...

The situation now as it stands is as follows:

7 pts between ourselves and Pats.
Goal difference is + 9 for City, + 2 for Pats

permutations are as follows:
- If Pats win all three remaining games and we loose or draw vs Drogs - Pats end up 3rd.
- If Pats win 2 and draw 1 by a total reater margin of 7 goals and we loose by 1 goal or more vs Drogs - Pats end up 3rd.
- If Pats loose one of their remaining 3 games, irrespective of how we do vs Drogs, City end up 3rd.
- If we beat Drogs we end up 3rd.

So keep an eye on how Pats get on next week.

vs. Longford Monday night ( el Kabir suspended - sent off last night )
vs. Rovers Thursday night
vs. Bohs Sunday

The bottom line is, it's still in our own hands.

The good news now is that Drogs are safe..........6 pts clear of UCD and Derry

One thing to note is our goal difference has been eaten into with that 3-0 loss to Waterford and last nights 2-0 defeat. There is just 7 goals between us now.

Which of these games are home or away?

Counting Crow had the Rovers and Longford games mixed up - it's:
Monday - Rovers away
Thursday - Longford at home
Sunday - Bohs away

I'm not admitting defeat yet, but the possibilities of us overtaking you are more mathematical than real.

Nearly there now-just need to confirm it with a win against Drogs. Would be a nice way to end the season as well.

We should get the win, lets hope its not another mind numbing nil all draw.I think spa will have given up the chase by then though.God only knows how they beat us at the cross the second time we played them this season, they were sh*te.

With SPA and Lonford both winning, am I right in saying that if they draw on Thursday against each other we're as good as home?
