In a fierce mood today and even the slightest thing is annoying me

The contented smile of someone thinking of a hornet pleasurably buzzing around inside her.
Think of the children on that one. ;)

T'is a bit of a kip to be honest but the wife loves Meadow Hall Shopping centre whenever she's dragged over to a game.
What's the shopping like in Watford?

Speaking of garbage, has anyone got a cure for hangovers that isn't suicide?

Nah I've only ever posted there twice, using the same log on as here. Just read it for the laughs, not half as good now that it's all been sanitised by Sky.
Ain't that the truth, all the funny characters have moved on to other forums as well, I can be found over at Mingeford Wanksbury's place now
I realise how ridiculous this conversation must sound to people not in the know

No. Tickets are like gold dust for those games. Wednesday would be doing well to get anything out of it with their away record!

Manager Brian Laws summed it up:
"I'm very proud of the players and the supporters. They haven't had a lot to shout about, but when we win these games it makes up for a lot.
"I'm delighted for everybody concerned. It's not just about the new directors, or the chairman, it's about everybody who works for Sheffield Wednesday.
"They have been down in the dumps for a fair few years and one thing that means a lot to them is these games."

Next to no one but I do. That's the beauty of it especially since I didn't start this thread. Not too sure Paddy Kenny was close to saving it.

Only 30 odd caps for Ireland but scored a goal in the 3-1 defeat by Spain that got Ireland through to the finals on goal difference if I remember correctly. Great passer of the ball but lacked pace and physicality so wasn't a favourite of Jack's.

Best Irish passer of my lifetime so far. A joy to watch. With pace he'd have been our.. Xavi..

For a club deep in debt, with talk of administration, seems a strange decision to me but you can't deny the humanity of the decision.

Presumably it's done with the intention of raising good-will capital, which in turn might lead to increased local sponsorship and maybe bigger crowds, as Wednesday strive to be seen as very much a community-club.
Question is though - would an owl in the hand be worth two in the bush?

Oh aren't you a hoot! :D
Seriously though, I suppose if it doesn't create much of a buzz around the city then there might be a sting in the tail, which could well be the fly in the ointment of Wednesday's promotion push.
