we are ment to be playing Limerick in Ballinasloe on sat, but rumour is game will be called off as Limerick dont have enough players to play the game.
Any truth in this?

cant believe im answering this as its only hearsay. Limerick have over 26 players in training at the moment. If and we all think it will be called off it will be due to an unplayable pitch.

Maybe this time last year that would have been true.

Not a hope. I seen them training last night and there was about 30 players there. If it was going to be called off due to lack of players i'd say Galway would be at fault.

Dont worry, Galway United would never organise a friendly and then call it off a few days in advance due to a lack of players.

Why do you all think the pitch will be unplayable?

The weather would be the main concern, how has it affected the pitch.

It's a bit cold but there isn't much "weather" to speak of here.
It isn't in Terryland, it's on in Ballinasloe and I've no idea what the pitch there is like but there is absolutely no way I can see it being called off because of the weather!

Roads are better going by gort, loughrea will get u there less then ten mins quicker then borrisokane route on the ****e roads. Give yourself just under 2 hours to get there. have a galway much of a squad assembled?

****e pitch with one sideline totally frozen over for the duration of the match. We looked the more settled team throughout, and forced over 15 corners during the game. Yellow and Wayne and even Dave Ryan in the second half dominated the midfield but star man was left back Conor Molam. Rock solid.
Ryan 7, Daly 6 Molam 9 O'Callaghan 4 Purcell 6 walsh 6 Colbert 8 (Ryan 8) Yellow 8 Manjor 6(Daly 6) Cummins 5(Hayes 7) Dannagher 5 (Scanlan 6)
Hayes with the goal, a cracker if truth be told. One slightly beached whale wondering about the pitch and if he starts ahead of a fully fit Danager

alri gael not a bad result for the first game of the season yea
by your ratings o'callaghan was the worst limerick player was he not at the races?
no doubting he will be an asset and addition to the squad but hes savagely overweight, lacks mobility and cant turn. We won a shed load of corners, yet everytime we did it seemed it was a chore for him to get forward. tried a few long range passes which all found touch, but is a phisical presance in defence. But isnt that what danagher is? But molan molan molan molan molan :D
Daly good going forward but was hopeless in his losing his man for the goal, Peter white really does have o start at right bacK.
If anything the game showed that galway are IMO certs for religation

Id like to give Manjor a mention, his first half performance out on the wing was entertaining fo loads of reasons :) but he done well overall.

How can a whale be slightly beached? Surely you're either beached or not. Are there really degrees of 'beached'? :)

I also heard that the young winger from pike, his name escapes me now, is a target. Good player would be a very exciting signing. Excellent left foot.
