It's a piece of card which lets you into league games for a season. What's to be impressed by?

Ther is a scheme in place already it's called pay at the gate. It costs just €15per game. I would think it defeats the whole purpose of a season ticket if the club don't get the money upfront. They may be prepared to look into it if the dd could not be cancelled half way through the season. What is to stop someone setting up a dd to purchase a season ticket, get ****ed off after we have 1pt after seven games and cancel the dd? The club having already counted this money in their budget, would be left high and dry.

There was a direct debt scheme in place last year but nobody used it, so the club decided not to do again.
If u contact the office and tell them can not pay the €200 in one payment, Im sure the will help you out, and ye can make some arangement

A direct debit scheme would be a good idea. However, all the payments would have to be made before the season, or else there could be difficulties (see dermoshields post).
An idea might be to re-start the direct debit scheme for 2010 in July/August, and close it in November/ early December. After four payments of E50, or five of E40 (my preference), the ticket would be issued.

True. Nobody on my mum's side of the family ever got a degree. I don't know where mine is. Some change in just one generation.

By way of comparison:
One of the clubs near me (Dagenham & Redbridge, play in League 2) does a half-season ticket:

Full-season tickets are £285 (EUR 320) if purchased by early June or else £345 (EUR 388)
Leyton Orient (League 1) offer payment by 10 installments, but it is arranged as a loan so I imagine the club get all the cash up front:
http://www.leytonorient.com/staticFiles/c6/ec/0,,10439~126150,00.pdf Their cheapest adult season is £320 (EUR 360).
