View Full Version : Player of the season award????
As the Cork City official Supporters club seems to be defunct (no meeting in a few months?), who will nominate the Ofiicial player of the year? I remember last yr in PJs, there was an award presented to Flynn on behlaf of the SC by Stephen O Callaghan(Chairperson). Will the same be happening this yr?
Where will ppl be going after the match? Please dont say that British pub, you know, the evergreen?

I think the FourFiveOne Player of the Year would be a great award for any of the players to win.
Maybe they could organise something like that????
The official supporters club have been taking votes from members recently, presume it'll be the same as last year so. I agree with NOTL though, a FourFiveOne award would be cool. Its likely to be more representative of fans opinion.

So the "Supporters" Player of the Year is decided by 10 votes?

Would be great if 451 had the funds for a small trophy that could be used each year?
And I don't mean the egg holder from the 5-a-sides ;)

Isn't that our egg-holder now?:D
Seeing as how we didn't play for it down in Cork... ;)
At the end of season bash in the Rochestown Park last year there was an offical club player of the year (sponsored by Guinness I think?) award presented.
I assume that Georgie will be presented with his offical player of the year award at the Rebel Army Ball on Jan 2nd?
Gary,

The place is filled with bar stooling idiots who sneer at city fans. Last time i was in there, a few little idiots, about 20-25 y/o shouted "come on Waterford at us". And what were they wearing? One Celtic (bigoted sectarian cúnts), One ManYoo, and a Chelsea shirts.
Brit Bar!

So, you are an aggressive sectarian bigot as well so ya?
Gary,
Unfortunately what you say about the barstoolers is true of almost 99% of pubs in Cork. The barstoolers are everywhere. Wouldn't say the Evergreen is any worse/better than anywhere else. Theres usually a good share of City jerseys to be seen there on Fridays after the games.
BTW ; Even worse than the barstoolers are the guys you meet when walking from the Cross who ask you who won. (usually live within 200/300 yards from the ground but can't be bothered to go down there  ). Next time you meet one of them tell them the wrong score. City always win 5-1 (according to me anyway ;))
