I have an idea, not sure what the uptake would be but anyway here goes:

If people would sign up to €25 per month to sponsor a player that would be €300 for the year and they would be invited to annual club awards night.

€40 per month for sponsorship of player and season ticket.
€50 per month for same as above plus their name listed on website.

These could all be done as direct debits.

Just an idea!!

Luka, apologies, but the other thread had ended up where most others go and I know I had my part to play in it too.

It was just when Don asked, then I wanted to respond in a more positive way. Sorry for the over-lap!!

Club awards nights are free to attend.......no invite necessary! Sure we havn't even had one this year!

Good ideas but we did this last year without a problem and the hassle of direct debits. So if it ain't broke don't fix it!

Around the town today, it is a very negative place at the moment, which is understandable.
There was a push on here a few weeks back about fundraising, why can't we all meet up and see if there is anything that we can do regards fundraising.
If the club does pull through this nightmare it is going to need all the help it can get off both members and supporters.

Yeah dont you know james if you come with innovative new ideas that require a bit of work there is no chance that they will happen.:D

On a serious note though you got my vote I think they were good affordable ideas.

I am 100% behind any fundraising but I think it might be hard to get the people of cobh to support our club at the moment with all that is going but we can try

Well maybe with a change of committee the people of Cobh might be willing to support the club and show a bit of good will towards the club.

Season about to kick off in the next few weeks, any chance of us organising player sponsorship for a couple of the players for the coming season, or organising some kind of fund-raising.

as the newly elected chairman of CROST, i think we should get back on topic,

we should hopefully know in the next day or so how much player sponsorship is, id be hoping it to be around E200,

so if we could get E50 a head and 12 people on board it would be spectacular and show hugh support by the supporters towards the players and club, to sponsor 3 players would be great,

although if this is not possible i dont think it to much to ask to sponsor a minimum of 2 players,

again, it would be great to get E50 from everyone, but just as last year any donations will galdly be accepted and it will but put under one name and thats CROST, there will be no individual names put in,
