I find it to be very useful. Thats if i could get all the team to respond to the texts anyway, lazy buggers.

The idea that your team would respond to their texts as opposed to yours is hilarious.

Dont see why?
The basic idea of the service is that you send a group text out for free via teamer.net. Then the players respond and they are logged on your page on the website. This allows you to pick a team based on the response.

My point is if the players don't respond to the managers texts you can be sure they won't respond to anyone elses and that's a fact.

Its the old carrot and stick question. If managers keep tolerating players not responding, then giving them a run out when they turn up for some games and not others, then only one person to blame in my book !
I have a simple rule, I need to know who is available and who is not. Non responses are not acceptable, and disrespects those who go to the trouble of letting me know each week.
Thats where www.teamer.net is of great help, because it helps me reach my players by both phone and text, and gives them plenty plenty of time to either text back, or visit the teampage and say yay or nay. It also gives me a private place to post messages to the team, tactics, travel plans etc.
Once they get used to visiting the teampage, they use it regularly to interact as a group, and not just for availability confirmation

Started using Teamer about 3 weeks now. Finding it brilliant.
I send out the texts but then I might be on the Road all day and least the managers can check in online to see who is available or not.
In two weeks, we are bringing in a fine of €5 for any player who does not reply as we still have to chase a couple who don't reply. Its the only "fine" we have but feel its needed. Its so simple just to send a "y" or "n". or the email.
5 Stars for the service!!

It is a great system and the club is looking to roll the system to all teams within the set up. Probably the best thing that has happened in player/manager communication.
