Independent Supporters Trust of Athlone Town (iSTAT) are hosting a Athlone Town Legends fundraising match on Saturday 31st January 2009 in Athlone Town Stadium. Kick off 7pm.

We're calling it "The Boys Are Back In Town" and we will have Town heros from the 1970's, 80's, 90's and 00's taking part.

Tickets are priced €10 and for more information about payment/delivery please email: info [at] istatonline [dot] com

For anyone in the Athlone area, tickets are available from the Athlone Town Shop (Maradyke St), Bar Metro, The Palace Bar and The Olive Bar.

We also hope to have Virtual Tickets available for purchase online (also €10) soon for anyone who cannot attend but still wishing to support the match.

Some players taking part include ... Rod De Khors, Andy Myler, Eugene Davis, Fran Hitchcock, Roddy Collins ... and many more!

If Michael O' Connor and Andy Myler play then they have more goals between them than the current squad (if there still is one!) could manage between themselves in a 5 year period. Any bets on how long it takes Micky to dive in the box??:D

Pooch Davis and Dutchy Dully are also lining out for the game so we could be in for a feast of goals! :D
