With just 3 games to go Lim's could be facing U.C.D. and not Derry City as we all thought as U.C.D. have made the better finish to the season than Derry, in most ways the same way Kildare have faltered with us right behind them to pick up the pieces. Who would be your choice of play off opponents from the bottom 2 of the the premier division, I personally would fancy our chances were better against Derry than U.C.D. What say you?

ucd are a very good team derry are in turmoil. ucd held shels last fri. so realistically the would be fancied. they play good football like us so it would be a great spectacle with lots of goals. derry would be just a battle royal. which i think we would have a better chance of winning because of their injury problems. limerick are back . cant describe how happy i am wwwwwwooooooohhhhhhh

From a purely selfish point of view Belfield on a Friday night is handier than the Brandywell on a Thursday. Limerick woul dhave more fans at Belfield so that wouldbe a plus.

From a football point of view I'd rather UCD actually. Play more football so we could take them on that. Not as big and physical as Derry so it would be more a football contest. In fairness, having seen the players yesterday and the high they were on we'd take either of them. :)

Deffo prefer to meet Derry. I've seen UCD a few times lately, and they play good football, and are on the crest of a confidence wave right now...very similar to us really. Derry are a shambles..in a total mess both on and off the pitch. We'd do them no problem, UCD I'd be a lot more wary of.Winning this semi final (providing we now do make it) I think will guarantee us promotion because I feel we're now a much better side than any of the other three and would beat them in a home and away tie.
I would urge a note of caution...we're not there yet.

I agree with the last sentiments. John White's stupid sending off has left us with only 12 players to go to Dundalk with. They are our Bogey team and a defeat there would leave probably us 1 pt behind going into the last game. We are not there yet lads!!

Steady with the talk of promotion lets take this one one game at a time..Oh I love Cliches!!

btw agree that Derry would be great but I think if we make it there it will be UCD deffo

What is it with the guy?? He has a knack for stupid sendings off...he did it last game of last season in Waterford too. I can understand anger and frustration when you're getting hammered week in week out, but we really need everyone for the last two games, and I just hope that suspensions earned due to petulant, headstrong actions don't cost us in the end.

Where is Brendan Hughes gone? And Ross Cosgrave? I haven't heard about McAuley in a long time. Who are the 12?

Healy, Molan, Finucane, Purcell, O'Mahoney, Sugrue, Sweeney, Keating, Heffernan, McCarthy, O'Donoghue, O'Flynn.

Add on Kerley for 13. Let's hope we don't pick up an injury up there.

surely we could sign 2 0r 3 players short term for the rest of the season. 13 players is ridiculous for the chance we have now

transfer window is closed. Hughes is out for the restof the season and Cosgrave is fit but has a niggle so cant play. The sad thing bout John White was he was in the bar later proclaiming his innocence to a supporter

Fyffe is 14. Which is about average for us anyway...

I hope i'm not talking prematurely but does anyone know the dates for the playoff games. i wouldn't rule out UCD leapfrogging Drogheda either the students are flying at the moment. i'd fancy Dogheda more than UCD.
