Hi lads.

I read in our local paper today that, Stephen Henderson is considering bolstering his squad with former Sligo player Carlos Alvarez, who is now playing at Duncannon United in Co. Wexford.

What's he like lads ?

would do a job i suppose in the 1st division. Wouldnt get near a Premier Division team. There are better options. ;)

It's a while since he has been with us but I never rated him, even for the First Division.

Definitely Cobh.
Depends really on the players he'll have round him, if they're good you'll not notice him, if they're bad then you'll not notice him.

The goal clubman is referring to is the goal Alvarez scored against Cobh into the railway end to give us a 2-1 win. Cue mad scenes of jubilation and Alvarez taking his shirt off and running to the dugout.

The goal he scored, where he made fun of a particular journo with the ball up his shirt was another game. Cant recall which.

I rate him as one of the worst 3 strikers i have personally seen for Rovers along with Darren Jack and Choise Assien
