I assume he'll be offered a new deal if the new manager wants him.
If the new manager doesn't want him, then he won't be.

Stephen Henderson has confirmed in yesterday's Evening Echo that he's spoken to Mick and that there's still some negotiating to be done.

He's a bad keeper these days, but still, if it meant that tomorrow we could field a first eleven rather then like at present, give him another year.

Would prefer Nults though. Other then the Bohs howler, I cant really remember any mistakes he made. Mick made LOADS

I think McNulty (granted he needs a few games under his belt) is a great keeper and as you said has made few mistakes but some of Citys support just wont give anyone a chance (not just McNulty, any new player) but Mick gets away with murder because he is an established player.

Its a complete contradiction but it spells out our problems as well as regards bringing guys through from the A team or U21s. We strangle ourselves with a supply of players because the fans are on their backs straight away (not always but its an element)

Glad someone else sees it the way I do. When i first saw Nults I thought he was all flash and little suibstance, but I thought his spell in goals come this seasons end he was fantastic bar that one minor blip I mentioned already. His big weakness at the start, to me, was crosses, but as this season went on, he was coming further and further off his line with greater authority and catching the thing.

Also, if there is a keeper as good as him with the ball at his feet in the league, I would like to see him. Laugh all you may, but that is an invaluable asset for us to have in our side. Think about it, you have a center back being harassed by Mark Farren 40 yards from goal, CB with Devine in goals has to attempt to clear it or put it out for a throw in, with Nults in, play the ball back, Nults will be chased by Farren, Nults will casually pick out one of the full backs, City retain possession. And that, if nothing else, is what our side is(was) built around doing. Keeping the ball.

Hi Lads.

Former Cork defender, Kevin Murray signed for us today. As far as I know, he was meant to sign for ye, but with the departure of Alan Matthres the deal fell through.

What do ye think of him lads ?

What do ye think of him lads ?He was never a defender at City, played midfield and found it hard to make an impact but turned into a fine centre half at Cobh, fine player.

Yeah, he has signed now it seems.

What the??? When??? How??? Why???

Apart from the obvious aggro between him and City fans, he isnt a very good goalkeeper.

Talk that Mark McNulty will re-sign for City. Hopefully he does as we'd be fairly sorted then in defense.

Biscuits has also left the club as goalkeeping coach, couldn't agree terms.
He could do a job for Cobh though.

Goodbye Mick...ya hung around a season too long, but no hard feelings. Shame about Biscuits.

Hopefully Nults does re-sign, and hopefully as number 1

In different ways both Mental Man and Luka got it arseways. :D
It's Mick Devine we signed, but not until after training last night, at about 9:00 pm.
