The Latest views from Liam Kelly on the Mons performance:

The Full Ninety

Another 3 points after a very tough match. Monaghan played well and managed
to get in front with a great goal.We didn't play well and deserved to be a
goal down at half time. However, we came out and played a lot better in the
second half and equalised with one of the best goals I've seen from a free
kick.
Martin Russell is probably the only player in this country to be able
to score from the angle and distance he was from goal, it was absolute magic
and only for that goal we might have struggled to get back in the game. But
thankfully Monaghan seemed to drop their heads when we equalised and we had
a few chances to go in front before Colm Foley scored right at the end to
give us another vital win.
We got in the habit of coming from behind last year and had some lasp gasp winners then, I'd rather we were a few goals up
near the end of games as it doesn't do much for the nerves, and the supporters
nerves. I'm sure the travelling fans enjoyed the last 5 minutes of the Monaghan
game but not much before that!!!
We have a huge game against Bohs coming up on Friday and these are the sort of games you play football for,and
hopefully we can take another 3 points in what will hopefully be a very
exciting match. After Friday we have very tough away game again, away to
Dundalk and then another one home to Rovers. After these 3 matches in close
succession we should have a fair idea of what we're made of.
