Stirring display of attacking football

What a fantastic game last night.

Seriously, that was the most tense game I've ever sat through, it was even worse than the play-off. We should have been beaten by 2 or 3 goals realistically and I'd say $hels are pretty pi$$ed off. Jennings made some excellent saves near the end to keep us in it, we've only conceded 8 goals in the last 12 games now!

Darragh Ryan was hopeless, he left Baker so much room it was incredible. When he got to him, he didn't do anything useful either. He should have been taken off for Hugh Davey about 10 minutes into the second half. Absolutely useless.

I didn't go because I'm too poor (it was either go tonight or go on Friday and I decided on the latter). Sounds like I made the right decision too.

Actually we've got one of the better defensive records in the league, the problem is that our attacking play is (or was) muck.
And stay out of Bumtown, ya no talent bum.

What a pity it was witnesssed by so few. Shels fans should be ashamed of themselves. They're this close to winning the league, and still they can hardly fill a single stand.

Fair dues to the crowd who were there for singing, but I have to make a stand here against the use of megaphones to lead cheers. It sounds rediculous - what's to stop UCD fans from recording us singing the same song thirty times, and then merging the tapes to get a recording of some two hundred people singing. We could play it over a ghetto-blaster or six, and get the equvalent of 1200 people singing for the efforts of six.

I was thinking of a Turkish team (lower division) who got fined for playing crowd noise over the PA. Wonder if its' against the rules over here...

Irrationally misspelling David Connolly since 1997.

Ironic that at the first game I've ever been to which had a police megaphone was one which had a blatant display of daylight robbery from the lads!

Voice is fairly bad today - presumably from shouting obscenities at Darragh Ryan for 90 minutes... What's Hugh Davey done to have been left on the bench for 90 minutes while watching that?! I can only assume some sort of amputation...
