Athlone home or away. Would just be delighted if it happened. Would hate them to go under.

Drogs away. If they manage to stay in Premier then would like Fingal at home. Suss out the toughest team we will face first.

Rovers at home. :)
Poor Student's point about Fingal is good too.
I'd say Fingal will be the strongest team in the First Division even if Drogheda are in that division..
Course they will, c**ts are buying up most of the league...Aw well not long till they go boom anyway.

Dundalk :D
Bring it on
Totally agree. We have to play you lot sometime. May as well get one of the games out of the way early on. Terryland is one ground I won't be travelling to next season.

That's actually one trip i'm really looking forward to. Great city to go out in and Galway will be one of our rivals for staying up. Should be a great atmosphere at it.

Are you blaming Galway United for the FAI's desicion to promote us over you a few years ago?
In all fairness, Dundalk have a great record against Galway United. When ye played here last, there were around 500 Dundalk fans in Terryland and ye deservedly grabbed all three points.
The banter will be great when Dundalk visit Terryland next.

Galway is the best away trip. The fans are lovely, the pubs are great and the shopping is deadly. Pity it is so expense to stay there!

Dundalk at home, play it on a Thursday night. Most Dundalk fans would find it hard to travel mid-week but we could send Maxi a DVD.:D

Cobh away or anyone crap at home so we can get off to a good start.

Shels ideally at home. Should get a good crowd, have good rivalry and hopefully encourage people to come back every week.
Think it'd be funny if we got Shams away considering we were the last to play them in Milltown
Yeah that would be great, i remember that well, fai cup (2nd leg as we had in those days) 1987 - diodnt the sligo fans come on the pitch and support the kram lads.
Rovers or Derry at home would be the ideal home game for us. Maybe I`d go for Derry actually as we have a good relationship with them - their fans were always a welcome sight to oriel and the lilywhite lounge (not that any other fans weren't!)
Hopefully it wont be a thurs night if its a home game

Dundalk away for our 1st game and Shams at home for our 2nd as after having played their 1st game at home in 5 million years they will bring a bigger crowd than normal (which is normally okay anyway) and we always get a great crowd at out 1st home league game as well.
Hopefully we get Harps as our next home game and increase our lead at the top of the table. :)

There wasn't a big Fingal crowd at the game at Tolka recently so I wouldn't be too sure about that.

Theres a great piece in Eamonn Sweenys book (Theres only one Red Army) about the sligo boys joining the shams lads for a sit down protest at half time during that game.
Can a club request a certain team at home for their first game or is it down to luck?

Wouldn't mind Dundalk away, as long as that plastic pitch is gone. The QUB supporters club enjoyed many a stop off in the Lilywhite on the way home after Dublin games & always made to feel very welcome.
wouldnt mind Cork in Croker... :p :ball:

Would'nt mind Derry at "da cross" because you have the 2 most vocal sets of fans in the country which always makes the games between Cork and Derrys special.

Limerick are not playing their games in Jackman Pk their playing them at another ground but the problem is that the new ground hasn't got flood lights so they'll have to play their matches at 3.00pm on saturdays

We're a long way from that Jimmy, yes it would be most Limerick fans wishes to move to this other ground and the lack of floodlights would be an issue but as of now, we shall be playing our games in Jackman park on Friday nights for the forseable future.
