Would be the best move out there for him IMO, but i think coughlan wil go with the safe, popular, yet not so footballing based decision of a caufield/morley combo!!

Popular? I wouldn't be too sure that sacking Mathews and hiring inexperience [albeit former CCFC inexperience] will be a popular move.

why else would he employ them, if he wasnt sure it was going to be 100% popular, surely it cant be cause of managerial expertise, proven at msl level, but surely next step is prove it al EL, first division level, not the biggest club in Ireland, in premier divsion.
I would think Hendo, Scully, Fenlon(who could become available soon) would be far better off managers for a club the size of city's..
Only my opinion, dont care too much bout city, but from a EL fan point of view, think it would be mad, of course its also only rumour im hearing.
