06 December 2008: Managerial Position Latest
Dundalk FC Gerry Matthews has told dundalkfc.com that he hopes that the managerial position will be filled early next week.
"We have taken our time and held a lot of discussions with potential candidates since we advertised the position. Although we wanted to have this issue resolved by now, it is a key appointment and we will take our time to make sure that we are 100% happy. I hope that we will be able an appointment on Monday. If so we will announce on dundalkfc.com and hold a press conference. But supporters should be warned that this is subject to change and if we believe we need to take a few more days to ensure that we make the correct appointment then that is what we will do. It's a very exciting time for the club and I know that supporters are anxious to hear some news. But we all need to be patient in order for us to make the correct appointment."
