Wayne Rooney jersey up for auction

Sligo Rovers F.C. have been given a signed Wayne Rooney jersey to auction. The auction will start on Wednesday 3rd December at 9am and will continue until Wednesday 17th December at 12noon. All bids will be by phone to Club Media Officer Dermot Brannigan on 0876172295 and confirmed by text with bid and name. Bids will start at €500 and go up by €100 there after. i am very surprised that the bids have not being moving faster. this is a bargain at e700 and will be worth a lot more in years to come. a few years ago athlone town (i think) executed a similar auction for a wayne rooney jersey and realised e5000 in as little as two weeks. i know economically things are much more difficult now but i for one will be very disapointed if rovers do not realise approx e3000. so i say to everybody out there who love the bit 'red get the message out that a great bargain is sitting in front of our eyes. spread the word and e mail friends family and acquaintances and give dermot branigan a big helping hand. he is still working extremley hard for the club when the rest of us have our eyes on xmas. if we want to be successful next year we will need all the extra cash we can avail of.
