According to KK in todays Connacht Tribune. Hopefully he will stay which would be a massive boost to the season ticket campaign and would peruade some of our current squad to resign.

If he leaves it will be a huge blow to the club and a replacement should be someone with a high profile from outside the club rather than Billy or Lal.This appointment should be made as soon as possible.

Also says Rovers are still interviewing for the job there, so hopefully it won't be him.

Jeff won't be Rovers manager. Apparently he's applied for Dundalk too but priced himself out of that.

I hope he stays but it seems that he will only stay if he doesn't find any other option. Fair enough I guess because it's not as if he's going to have much cash to strengthen the side as I'm sure he wishes.

Who knows where he will go? He's done well for himself in turning things around, and won't be short of offers. I'm sure he'd rather a Dublin job and Rovers does stick out like a sore thumb.

Jeff Kenna has been offered the Dundalk job and he's got the weekend to think about it. Announcement on Monday.

In a desperate attempt to keep Kenna at Galway United, the Western club have arranged to bring him to Louth to visit the town of Dundalk.

A local paper saying Jeff is being allowed a further 2 weeks to decide his future.Shams and Dundalk wont wait that long so id say by the time he does decide those postitions will be have been filled and he will stay with us then.

Your surely the biggest WUM on this site.

We'll all know within 90 mins or so;)

Dundalk FC will this evening announce their new manager. The Lilywhites have been without a leader for the past three weeks after the club decided not to offer John Gill a contract renewal despite his feat of winning the First Division title and taking the Oriel Park outfit back to the top flight for the first time in seven years.

It's Sean Connor - was announced on the Dundalk website about two hours ago.

with our envisaged budget next season it can hardly be any more than that.

Just hope it gets sorted quickly and doesn't start dragging on into January. Other clubs are already making moves with comings and goings but there's not much that can be done at United when nobody knows who the manager is going to be for next season. If we have to get someone new in that will take a few weeks probably putting us further behind the other clubs at this early stage.

At the moment it seems to be Kenna saying I'll come back if I don't get anything better but some kind of time limit has to be put on it.

According to Setanta, he's in the running for the Oxford United job. One thing I can gather from everything that is going on, is that Kenna is actively looking for work elsewhere.

Time to say 'thanks Jeff but good luck, we want someone who wants to be here rather than using the club as a safety net'.

I'm afraid that the club can't wait for Jeff to see if he can get something better or not, it could be damaging to pre season preparation especially since we have to probably work with an almost completely new team!
we were poorly prepared starting last season and we struggled early in the season with a much stronger side than we finished with.

Time for Jeff to sh!t or get off pot! If he doesn't sign up by the 18th he should be sacked, otherwise the club are risking screwing up pre season preparation and also having putting up with a media circus every time someone is sacked in the LOI, or in the lower leagues in the UK...

Lads Jeff is a darn good manager and if he stays ill be more then delighted. He has this week and next week and after that a decision will be made.I cant understand guys on here and the GUST site saying they wish he'd go.If he stays we stay up next year IMO,if he doesnt we probably go down.

I think we'd just like it to be resolved because preparations have to be put in place for the new season and nothing can be done while Jeff is waiting for someone else to give him a job. If he goes it'll probably take a few weeks to find a new manager and while all this is going on other clubs are looking for new players, signing players, selling players, etc. All the normal stuff that gets done during the end of the season.

So if Kenna goes and more than likely he will at this rate, your saying we will probably go down next season? Thats a bizarre attitude to have! Yes Kenna did very well last season but IMO he still has a lot prove at management level. After all he has only managed for 6 months or so. I think a bit of perspective is required there Eamo.

This is a total joke, its Thursday afternoon now and still no word. Is there no-one on the board with the stones to tell him to f*ck off at this stage if he doesn't want the job, which he clearly doesn't.
I, for one, don't want someone in charge of my team who clearly does not want to be there. Losing all respect for him and his efforts last season
