Second half blitz saves Shels
Shamrock Rovers 2-4 Shelbourne
Four goals in 20 blistering second half minutes saw Shelbourne come from the dead to maintain their five-point lead at the top of the Premier Division on Tuesday night.
Rovers - who have played a major part in the fortunes of the leading duo over the past fortnight - threatened to inflict even more damage on their stadium rivals by racing into a two-goal half-time lead on this occasion.
Liam Buckley’s side had defeated Shels 2-0 at Tolka last Friday week, and the odds were stacked against Shels again on this occasion after first half goals from Stephen Grant and Glen Fitzpatrick.
