Was over at Belfield for the game.Ireland were well deserved winners after a very impressive first half display.Second half brought more pressure from the Italians but the lads kept it tight with only one or two scare (They hit the post with a free and Henderson in nets,had to rescue Ireland with a great sliding tackle after a terrible backpass by no.5[Fitzgearld,I think,but was very solid otherwise]).

Paisley and Fitzgearld at centreback,yer man from 1860 Munich,Willo Flood,McMahon,Daly stood out as our best performers.Doyle brought off at half time,may have been injured.

I think Cork City had a deal with the FAI that each City player would only play a half coz of the Bohs match on Friday.
