S Reid - June09 comeback according to the above

I think from reading the BR website a few weeks ago after Reid had his operation it is hoped that he will be back before the end of the season. Unfortunately with his track record with injuries I would not be too optimistic.

Kelly was mentioned as being close to a comeback in some of the recent previews of Birmingham games, but nothing concrete

as for Finnan, he played at the weekend against Racing Santander. Unfortunately Espanyol lost 3-0. From some of the reports, it appears he played at centre half?
Also, this is on Espanyol's front page: http://www.rcdespanyol.com/principal.php?modulo=detalleNoticia&idnoticia=5811&idioma=2&idmenu=9&idsubmenu=108

Steve Finnan is not taking no luck with injuries in the beginning of his adventure in Spanish. After the first muscle injury that led to the activity for almost eight weeks, the medical services of the club have confirmed the suspicions that the Irish side suffers an injury grade I alone in the right leg. Dr. Ignacio Sitges has indicated that this injury will keep a low period of 3 weeks.

Its low will be added to De la Pena, Rufete, Sielva, Pareja Torrejon, then, for the game this Sunday.

Who is yes to Sporting Gijon is Roman Martinez, who now has trained normally with the rest of his colleagues, proving that it is in perfect condition to be available to the coach with a view to l 'league clash this weekend.

Nicely done Joe, 3 weeks, not too bad from our point of view. He's huge for our chances I think.

You guys have it right, it's 3 weeks due to a fracture in his leg:

The former Liverpool man's injury woes continue as he faces another three weeks on the sidelines due to a fracture of his right leg...

Just as the 32-year old was recovering from a muscle strain that had kept him out of action for almost the enitre campagin, he contracted a slight fracture of his right leg in training and faces being sidelined until the Spanish winter break.
