Kildare's season will now start in June or so, which is just nonsense.
Yeah, absolute nonsense that their season starts at the same time as the vast vast mojority of clubs in Europe!.
I know, I know, it is a nonsense regarding our own season but really, Summer soccer? No thanks

It mentions Walter Macken flats. Does that mean there is a chance of there being a Walter Macken end? That would be totally cool.

It might interest you to know there was a very quiet very innocent man who lived there that is now dead. Your example is crude and disgraceful. More information is,the local rag got it wrong again the woman is from Rahoon.
I stopped buying local rags like the tribune and sentinel (wouldnt wipe my arse with the rest that print everyones hard luck story but if your dad is from the"society" we can conveniently leave that report out) 15 years ago because of rubbish like that, trying to down 15000 people over a few bad eggs. You rarely see the good stories about people like Graham Lee riding his 25th winner of the season on bbc last saturday or Eric Elwood playing for connacht some years back. The articles are probably written by people who are 5 minutes in town and talk out the sides of their mouths. Mervue is full of true Galwegians
that have faced huge issues the way they should be.. by providing outlets like the soccer club. The new main sponsor of GUFC is from that area as well

The moderator here should delete that post and attempt to slight a decent hard working true Galwegian area

calm down a mhac. i have no problem with mervue or its residents.

anyone who knows mervue knows it isn't "pimms sipping on the balcony, darling" which would probably be a much more appropriate description of the other galway team in the A division.

if my attempt to illustrate this caused you harm or distress then i re-tract it - on reflection it was in bad taste.

no need to call me a prat though...

apologies, I just happened to know that man and he was extremely polite and
unassuming, a lot of elderly people in that complex were quite frightened after that awful incident

I've just come back to this thread and hadn't seen the controversy my initial post had caused. The apartments in the background looked nice in the video and I thought they might be yuppie occupied. Obviously, I wasn't aware of any history attached but apologise if anyone thought I was being disrespectful

They look nice now as they have been recently renovated. Previous to that they were in poor condition as the city council had not looked after for years.
