I've been told there are around 80 full time players out of contract this year and around 35 of these will be given new contracts.
I don't know how anyone would know this, but is there likely to be a lot of good current full-time players out of a job in the IL?
Is there a list of out of contract players?

I think the PFAI were saying 76% of all players in the league were out of contract at the end of the season. This was widely reported as 80% of players, which may be where the figure of 80 players came from.

I think the figures were 350 of 420 players are out of contract.
Possibly rising depending on the outcome of Drogs examinership and Bohs court case (deferred again today).

It may be on PFAI.ie during the winter.
We've two players under contract. I'd say the out of contract players will be weighted towards the smaller teams, who'd only ever offer one year deals.

I don't see how this is anything new.. I'm sure most clubs in the league operate on one year contracts.

It's the decision on costs that's been deferred in Bohs' case. Costs usually follow the judgment so I'd say they're likely to be stuck with those too.

I think what is new is so many teams are reverting from Full-time to part-time again and a lot of players will have to either take a substantial wage cut or find a club elsewhere.
Is it right that next season Derry City and St Pats will be the only 2 full-time clubs?
The players out of contract with Pats are;
John Frost
Alan Kirby
Lance Friesz
Jaroslaw Bialek
Gary O'Neill
Stephen Paisley
Dave Rogers
I know at least one of those has been offered a deal

Cork are also trying to stay full time. It remains to be seen what will happen with Bohs.

As of Friday, the whole Galway United squad - with the exceptions of Jay O'Shea and Gary Rogers - are out of contract

Apparently we will have 16 full timers...but on low wages. The figures being bandied about are low alright and I cant see most of our current players staying on that money.
We have 7 players under contract Sullivan, Murphy, Gamble, Kiely, Behan, Kelly and one other I cant think of right now.
Out of them Gamble is likely to go and possibly Sullivan too. Hopefully we could offload Behan too.

Everyone bar Conor Gethins at Harps is out of contract. With the exception of just a handful of those, I hope none of them are offered new contracts for next year.

With Pat's or elsewhere?
With pats - Stephen Paisley. Reduced money apparently

Appearance related clauses by any chance Dodge?. Given his injury record over his whole career that would make sense.

For Derry
Sean Hargan
Pat Jennings (loaned to Sligo)
There may be a few more as we will need to cut our squad down to stay full-time.
