Notts County goalkeeper Saul Deeney could become a household name after PlanetFootball reported that the Republic of Ireland youth international has agreed a deal with a mystery Premiership club. The 20-year-old Deeney has already held trials with Blackburn Rovers although it is not clear whether it is in fact Graeme Souness who has signed the youngster.
Leeds, Wolves and Southampton are three other clubs that have been on the look out for keeper recently, but all the player's agent said was: "I took a call from a chief executive of a Premiership club very recently and he is very keen to push through a deal as soon as possible. All has been agreed with the Notts County management team and a move could happen very soon."
