Is anyone else having problems with ericom broadband the last few days?, mine has been running really slow, i've done multiple speed tests at speedtest.net and usually my results are like this.

Download speed : 2700kbps - 3000kbps
Upload Speed : 290kbps - 330kbps

This is what i have been getting the last few days:

I can't even play my PS3 online with that terrible upload speed, of course, the helpline was un-helpful as most of them are .

Happened in my parent's house in Donegal for a few days. Then it became even faster than before. Turned out their were futtering about with the sever in Buncrana.
Did the helpline mention anything about work on the line?

I suppose all with Eircom have experienced problems on Thursday evening. Apparently the DNS servers had problems.

I changed to Open DNS when the first attacks started happening.

A move I should've made a long time ago.

I'm with BT (who I assume use Eircoms infrastructure). Webs been okay. I don't upload or download much ...streaming youtube'd be the extent of it. But for periods stretching to days at a time lately I've found I'm unable to access my many eircom.net emails. Then a glut of them. Then gone again.

No, they don't. Their phone lines, sure, but that's rarely the problem.

They use both actually. They've unbundled a small number of Eircom lines, but the vast majority of their DSL services are bitstream, where the handoff doesn't happen until traffic reaches the major exchanges.

I'll bow to our resident industry expert on this.

I'd've accept the title with price in the past, but those days are long gone. :)
