RTÉ SPORT (http://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/mns/features/gotm.html) and THE IRISH DAILY STAR are giving you the chance to win a pair of tickets to see Ireland take on Georgia in Croke Park in February 2009.

This prize also includes overnight accommodation in a Dublin city hotel.

Why do they keep putting free-kicks in the goal of the month???

Can't see why Vinny Faherty is in there when it was simply poor goalkeeping.

there was few goals where the keeper was at fault some the goals plain average

Just got a chance to watch GOTM, I reckon Raff or O Shea will get it. And all's I can say is, what on earth is Alan Gough doing when Vinny Faherty took his shot ?

Cretaros goal did it for me anyway, thats the kind of play that will attract people to our league.

What, defenders backing off and backing off and backing off and backing off and backing off and backing off until it's far too late?

You'd maybe get that at Newcastle or Spurs games - but for the true football lover you'd want something a bit more challenging...

FWIW - I'd go with Byrne against Drogheda - sublime chip over the goalkeeper
