Hanaphy equalised for 79th min after some exciting play. Mons were awarded a penalty but the keeper saved it. Kildare down to 10 men. O'Connell sent off.

It was Barry Slattery that scored the first goal, amazing game though, had everything in it not sure about either of the penalties and definately not a red card (which can't be apealed as it was two yellows). Time to prepare for Mervue I suppose unless Athlone have played unregistered players when they beat us 3-0 and that result gets turned around :p

What's the feeling about dropping to the "A" Championship in Kildare, Christo. Does the club have a contingency plan? Would it make much material difference other than a couple of players leaving?

Not sure if the club does have any plans, we have very few players left that aren't amatuer so they would leave but that wouldn't matter too much.

But ever the optimist I don't think that Mervue will beat us in the play-off, Cousins has improved the team since he moved in...hopefully anyway

the way we are playin at the moment we will be caught by both wexford youths and athlone.. would safely say that we will finish second from bottom..:mad:
