Do you find that football gets boring the older you get? Or at least that you are interested in fewer matches etc even though you still love the game?
When I was younger it seemed like sacrilege to miss a friendly international match, never mind a competitive one. Nowadays I find that I'd have a passing interest in friendlies........and I'm not too struck to go to too many eL games either ( just the clash of the best teams interests me ).
Its nada to do with age, its all got to do with the media and television overkill. There is now live football at least 6 days of the week between Sky Sports and the CL and the UEFA cup. People dont look forward to games like they used to.
So in answer to the poll, no, age dont diminish your interest.

if you want rekindle your interest try going to a few junior soccer matches like under 8 to under 12.you will see at least everybody trying 100% to win ,very few fouls and plenty of goals.its all the more enjoyable if you happen to have a child playing in the match.

Absolutely NOT. If anything, I find that now at 22, going on 23, I love and can appreciate football more than ever simply because as you get a little older you can talk tactics etc much more. Plus you can share and debate those opinions far more articulately, as we happen to be doing right now.
Tolka is one of the most boring grounds in the country to watch football. More atmosphere watching on tv at home in your living room.
btw too much football on tv 'n stuff just means got to focus on one kind.

But, it's a different story entirely with 1500 of us in there, like there was on my last visit to Tolka (May 2001).
'Too much' football on TV just means greater choice, and personally I would rather watch the Primera Liga/Serie A than the Premiership any day simply because the Real Madrids and AC Milans of this world are so vastly superior to anything that the English league can throw at them.

Depends if u r talking live or tv football.
There is nothing to beat live football, this never gets boring (even if the game is rubbish there is always something going on in the crowd). It doesnt matter what level (international, LofI, Premiership, CL etc).
T.V. football on the otherhand has got boring. There is too much of it, on too many channels, including too many poor matches. I got sky sports in for 2 years and that was all i could take of it - it was just too much! (and i never thought i would reach that point). Matches that were on tv when i was growing up would undoubtedly be BIG matches (FA cup finals, european cups, international championships) and would be looked forward to the week before - now there is no time for this sort of build up of excitement (plus, they are less important games). That is not to say that all football on tv is boring as u will still have the games that are built up, and reach the level expected of them.
end of rant!!!

Got to agree with S.E.P.1990 on this one
