View Full Version : Kinsella faces anxious wait
UEFA may launch an investigation into an incident in which Mark Kinsella appears to throw a plastic bottle at Alexander Frei during Ireland's 2-0 loss to Switzerland on Saturday. Pictures clearly show Kinsella throwing the bottle in the direction of Frei after the player taunted the Irish bench following the Swiss' second goal.
The FAI have refused to comment and are waiting on a report from a UEFA delegate before deciding what action to take next.
If the delegate doesn't refer to the incident UEFA are unlikely to pursue the matter as there is no video evidence.

Doesn't matter either way.
You won't be seeing Mark Kinsella in a green shirt again.

I can only hope so, but somehow I don't think we've seen the last of him.

Apparebntly as it wasn't in the Ref's report and nobody from Switzerland complained, he's going to get away with it

even if kinsella wasnt to retire ,he should never be allowed to put on irish shirt again after that display
it was a game played under good circumstances and no trouble from either side until this pr!ck realises he wont make a name for himself on the pitch so he mite as well do it off the pitch

Kinsella has put in many good performances for us.Granted he's not gifted with any great natural talent but always put his heart into every game and I hope to see himget back in the Villa side a prove he's still an asset to Ireland in the future. How many of you can honestly say they wouldn't have reacted if you were sitting there and that Frei wan ker had done what he did.
