That's great news.
It was an excellent game and I thought RTE did a good job covering it.
Hope this means more coverage will follow.
The league needs this sort of platform, if it's to grow.
We can't get too carried away cos eventhough didn't see it that game was probably one of the most entertaining in a long time.
On the other hand given the respective cost of showing the eL, CL & EPL 194k views is great value for RTE.
Although it may look great for me it isnt really that good as previous EL games have had more viewers but been ****e games.
(one pats v shels game got close to 300k few years back ,was an awful match tho)
EL Live afaik has always beaten EPL in the ratings everytime a game is on a minimum 200k watch it and always beats EPL.
Who actually watches EPL on RTE?
As EL fans what games towards the end of season would you say should be on TV?

good idea but also potentially bad-it cud turn out that the league would be won by then and noone wud av any interest in it

On the week ending September 14, over 500,000 people watched it.
The FAI Cup final last season got just over 100,000 people, so this is good news and should lead to more coverage, especially of the cup. The impetus is on TV3 now though and who knows what they'll do.
