View Full Version : Bye Bye Europe...

Looks like City are throwing away there chance for Europe.2-0 up at home and lucky to draw against Waterford and now we draw with a Derry team battling relegation. Our season as usual at this time of year is just fading away.

Why have City brought in this Nigerian lad who plays on the left?Dont we have Casey and little boy Kearney for that spot?We have brought in 4 players(including Packer)to play left midfield during the year. There are still 3 here and yet we have not brought in anyone to our problem position central midfield.I dont understand.I think its about time we got a bit more in return from this team.We slag St Pats about there manager but yet in his first season in charge they have won the league Cup and now are in the FAI Cup final. They are 2 points behind us in the league with a few games in hand.Maybe i am just getting a bit pi**ed off but surely we should be showing MORE signs of progression than we are at the moment.Dolan is great with the club and has really raised our profile but seriously lads has our team shown much improvement?Last week against Waterford was one of the worst performances if not the worst performance i have ever seen City make.We made Waterford look like Brazil. All i ask is "when are we going to improve?????????"

END OF FRUSTRATED RANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Give it a rest ... If you have give up hope (if i recall you had a similar post about four games into the season) you dont have to keep on and on and on and on about it. We heard you the first time. We know nothing is good enough unless we win the league and get to the group stages of the Champs. League but for the rest of us we dont see it quite so bad.

Please ..... Your dark opinions are not welcome at the time of year.

It's far too soon to be saying stuff like that.
There are a lot of games left to play and we are still very much in with a chance of getting Europe.

people forget we still have to play shels twice. a maximum 6 points could put us back in contention for runners-up or at long shot-champions

even if we finish third, its an improvement on last year and a good start for dolan
we didnt expect him to win it in his first season

complaining about a draw in the brandywell is sh!t

we all know how hard it is to get a point up there

It doesn't matter what time of year it is, RedX has every right to express his opinion which I personally agree with.

I think if you look realistically at it and the amount of games more we have played, we haven't a snowballs chance of making Europe.

Normally a draw at the Brandywell is a good result but Derry are toilet and we haven't beaten them at all this year.

I can't believe any City fan would settle for this mid table mediocrity we are destined for this season, it sickens me.

Call it pessimism, but I call it realism.

I think there's every chance you'll make Europe. If we win Cup, all you have to do is finish ahead of Longford and Rovers.

Are you sure about that dodge. I remember when bohs won the double it was Longford the losing cup finalists who got into europe and not the fourth placers.

Much as I'd love to see us win the double i thinkits a tad unlikely. League winners - CL, Cup winners and next best league placed team - UEFA cup, Next best legue team - intertoto.

Any team from City, Pats, Longford, Waterford or even Rovers) have a chance of finishing in the top 4 & therefore a chance at Europe.

Yes City have blown a decent advantage in recent week but things can change with even 2 wins on the trot.

We drawing too many games!

At least we are drawing games though. Last season we would have probably lost these same games.

As for Europe, Im beginning to think that if we dont make it, it wont be the end of the world, as long as we hold onto the backbone of the squad.

A face...just another few things also. You have over 1,000 posts on foot.ie forums and isnt it sad that you try to deny other people expressing there opinions. You said "if i recall you had a similar post around four games into the season".Tell me are you stalking me?That is some comment to make. You also said "Your dark opinions are not welcome at this time of year".I reckon you should stay off whatever you are smoking fella.I have been posting on message boards for a long time but your reply seems fairly personal as far as i can see.Well if you do have a problem with what i say on here(since you seem to be speaking for everyone)i stand in the shed for every home game and many people on here know me so maybe trot over and we can discuss it.Until then if you are not man enough to state your own opinions dont reply to mine. The majority of your posts are just links to eleven a side .com.Why dont you get a personality and maybe then you can add your own real posts..
