View Full Version : Drogs / Bohs tickets

I guess this will probably be moved, but I'd like to let people hear yet another piece of LoI absurdity. We can win the league on Friday up in Utd. Park and,so, naturally, most Bohs fans would like to be there. Now, normally, for matches up there, Drogs send down tickets to Dalymount since the away end holds approx. 500, and despite what folk from Derry seem to think, we have quite decent away support; there's usually a few tickets left on the night, but this system prevents long queues and assures those who have to leave Dublin in rush hour of getting in.
So, for possibly the most important game between the clubs for a while - well important for one club - what do Drogs do? make a limited number of tickets available on Ticketmaster (they claim - actually hard to find them apparently) and sell the rest on the gate. Now, if we're going to be limited to the normal away shed, there's no way everyone will fit, and if they close the gate, there'll be a riot. As well as this, if there is to be a limit, the way things work in Bohs is that members get first dibs; obviously this situation could mean members locked out.
Why, I hear you ask.... well *allegedly* Drogs owe us money for the rental of Dalymount for their CL matches and suspect that, if they were to send down tickets, they wouldn't see the proceeds......
And the Drogs website say they're on ticketmaster... http://www.droghedaunited.ie/news/single/id/1462
I can only find Bray v Drogs tickets... :-(
Isnt it a rule that the away team have to be given 5%?

Are you sure that Drogs owe you money maybe they are afraid of something else?

What, like?
if it's trouble you're suggesting- because of course we're all big mad hooligans - then turning us away after we've turned up is likely to provoke it; if they really want to limit us to the away end, then making it ticket only would be the way to do it.
we dont owe you jack shiit .The last time you moaned about not getting enough tickets you didnt even sell the ones you were given .

there'll be a riot. Nothing unusual there then, with Bohs fans in Drogheda ........
Maybe we are annoying you for what Fenlon / Stuey were up to during the season......................................
Anyway, other than that you are right. Tickets should go to Dalymount

Priceless with the amount of scumbags in Drogheda who come out to start on Dublin fans.
Anyway considering loads of your regulars are planning to stay away because they can't stand the pain, I'm sure we'll all get in.

When? Even if Derry play Bohs in the Cup final Derry will probably still have a bigger support than yous. When yous do bring a support you end up wrecking pubs

yes that's right... that was all of us; me, Bohs Partisan, Barry the Mascot, Gerry Cuffe, the bloke who sells the 'raaaafle' tickets, we all piled into the Talk of Town; it was just like Green Street.

Last time Derry came to Dalyer, a drum came on its own and made loads of noise. Fair play to that drum!

There will be blood spilled this Friday night in the Drogheda town centre, that for sure. Just like every Friday night in Drogheda when Bohs, Rovers and Pat's aren't in town! It has to be the roughest town in Ireland. It's worst then Limerick. (No offence Lims fans) The people are as mad as snakes! I should know my ex-girlfriend is from there!

This is nothing unusual on the part of DUFC. They have a very bad habit of f*cking up ticket arrangements for big games.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ALL BOHS FANS TRAVELLING TO DROGHEDA
http://www.bohemians.ie/index.php/club-news/important-notice-for-all-bohemian-fc-fans-travelling-to-drogheda.htm ...
Unless Bohs are telling fibs (and I've no reason to think they are), that's supremely incompetent and ignorant of Drogheda.

And if Bohs are telling fibs (and I agree they're likely not), it's supremely incompetent and ignorant of them. So either way, someone's being supremely incompetent and ignorant. Time to grab the popcorn, methinks? The next fines list should make interesting reading!

So now they're sending down 400 tickets which go on sale tomorrow at 10 am to members only - as it happens I'm not in work till 11 in the morning and Dalymount is 5 minutes away so great, I'll be able to get one...... so what about all the Bohs fans who live in Blanch/ Mulhuddart/ etc. (even Drogheda) and are at work all day tomorrow? it is, as a Louth native once remarked, 'a fa-a-a-a-rce'
