On this most chaotic of days for us it almost been forgotten that Leo The Lion has been hit with a suspension for the rest of the season. The reason for this is... well nobody seems quite sure...

Fingal bitching no doubt, still sour after unable to cheat their way to 3 points last friday.

Bitching about what though? The Lion seemed rather subdued on Friday if anything. Nonsense. The FAI are trying to maximise their fines money I'd say...

Making a 'diving' gesture after one of them fell to the ground and rolled around like a little girl? :)

Fingal complaining about nothing to be honest. Next time we're up there and get searched and harrassed in Morton Stadium we'll all put complaints in

Heaven forbid a mascot should be animated. Some people clearly have such a high opinion of this league they want to turn our grounds into the morbidly humourless stadia of the Premier League. If this league didn't have a sense of humour it'd have nothing.

And now to substantives: If it really is the avowed aim (as it should be) of the FAI that we promote interest at grassroots level then surely the last thing you'd want to do is attack what is ostensibly 25% of the entertainment for the many kids who flock to Leo every evening to have photos taken with and programmes signed by him. Besides - and not meaning to make anyone cry - it's just a guy in a suit, can't they ask for the person who so ably plays the lion to be changed?

Even hitler appreciated the power of aesthetics and symbology and if the powers that be can't then they're not worthy of the label of fascists.

Fairplay Generation XI, it was intended to lighten the humour and I'm glad you took it that way

I took it that way too. Although I hope you'll appreciate that we offered the Fox use of the whole of Jackman Park to prepare himself. :p

I heard the Fox would have left the ground only he can't drive a bus

Amen to that, their policy is very hit and miss indeed.

That's a nothing excuse. We're right beside the bus/train station.
