Considering our performances to date against this lot id take a draw to be honest. :(

ya i'd take the draw but if we can play like we did against Dundalk i think a win is definately possible.

An Optimistic 2-1 :ball:

Of all the matches remaining, this more than any other is the one I most want us to win. Cant be losing 4 times to the newbies (even if they are half decent)!

To be honest they are the most beatable of the top 4, both times we played them away they looked beatable but we were unlucky (dodgy penalty first time, dodgy defending second time around). They did beat us well at home though.

4-1 to us :D
(but I'll settle for a draw)

Thats all well and good Kev but how is our tri-colour after being absolutly drowned above in the RDS thanks to you? :)

A draw is the best we can hope for im afraid, predicting a 2-0 loss though.

I would have to agree with Mr. Fish there, a draw would be a very good result. Saying that, they are without the Leagues top goalscorer though and without Robbie Doyle, how good are they? :) I'd say a 2-2 draw. Despite last two results if we play like we did against Mons and Kildare we will get well beaten.

4/5 1 would be too little. I thought 10 1 would have been more just. Its not right to say we dominated the second half cos we battered them for 90 mins +. We were brillient. The ref was crap and let them go with a lot of time wasting, and as for their spoofer of a manager, guess what? you've been found out again!

Agree with all the positive comments above.Super entertaining football. Need to keep the core of the team and add a few experienced players to make a challange next season.
Well done Super Blues!

GREAT performance, battered them in the 2nd half and wouldn.t have been flattered with a 5-1 scoreline.its looking good for next season given recent form and MK getting it right we have got to be promotion contenders.

seriously, Ryan a 7! I think he's a good player but he missed 2 sitters especially the first one. At a push i'd give him a 5.

Thats the rating i would have given. Hughes and Lyons ran the midfield, there tackling was top notch and they where very confident on the ball. Tierney and Sheehan where causing trouble all night but Sheehan has to get his head up a bit more, makes great breaks with his speed but lets himself down with his selfishness at times, Tierney could have had about 5 or 6 goals alone in the last 2 games, he has been unlucky at times. I thought walshe has been excellent recently, causing all kinds of trouble up and down the wing and not afraid to get stuck in either. The defence as a whole where very solid barr the weak goal that was given away from the corner. Colbert had a very good game too, getting stuck in as usual. Ryan came on and missed two good chances but i wouldn't be too harsh on him as there where alot of chances squandered in the match. I Hope Collopy will get a start in goals soon as i'm still unsure about ryan, he's kick outs where fairly poor last night an d i wouldn't have much confidence in him under any kind of pressure.

All in all it was a great performance and shows great things for next season. I hope Kerley gets the players to sign contracts for next season asap.

This was the first ggame I've seen in about 4 years (last one was in Pike, 5-0 win against Galway).

I thought Limerick were far the better team, despite what the league table says (granted I know nothing about th injury lists of either team). Fingal had two tall strikers who did cause some problems when flicking the ball on, but created nothing apart from the goal and one shot from about 5 mins from the end.

Limerick were all over them, particularly in the second half, and should have won by a couple of goals. They played smart football given the (lack of) height of the two strikers, and were able to get in behind the defence very easily. My only criticism was that we should have had a player just hanging around the D of Fingal's area more often for when crosses were cleared, as they were able to get out of their own defence a little cheaply at times.

And that little number 16, who I now know is called Ryan, really, really should have scored.

It's good to be back!!

Dave Ryan has improved immensely since last year, even since earlier this season. He used to make me a bit nervous but not anymore, I have every confidence in him.
That said, I wouldnt mind seeing Collopy in action.

Dave Ryan has improved. However he's still terrible in the air, throws his toys out of the pram at the slightest provocation and doesn't communicate with his defence all that much. He's no longer awful but he's no better than adequate yet either.

Worth trying out Collopy at this stage in the season.

Better than the performance against Dundalk a few weeks back?
TBH I am very worried about Limerick coming to Oriel later in the month, Ye destroyed us that night, 4 or 5 wouldn't haven't flattered ye at all.

First game in a while.

I was seriously impressed. It wasn't just that we bossed them but we played really good football. We passed it through them. It was a stark contrast to their long ball stuff. The goal we conceded was soft but we missed a rake of chances and were denied one definite penalty (in fairness the ref couldn't have seen the handball but the linesman should have) and there was also one challenge that could have led to a penalty.

To get 500 at this game (which is largely meaningless at this stage) indicates that the fans are turning up to see good football. Lots of credit to Mike Kerley.

First game in a while.

Lots of credit to Mike Kerley.

i have to say the jury is still out on mk.i would have to question his team selection and his substitutions.as an ever present (almost) at home matches i have seen this team flourish as the season progressed and have no doubt that we will be contenders next season if this team stays together.i think his man management skills are suspect and am afraid some of our better players will leave in the close season.

better players being? players will always come and go during the close season but that dont mean they'd be leaving cos of Mike. by far the most professional and orginised manager since Sam Alardyce

every team has four or five players that form the nucleus of that side.it would be wrong to name them but we all know who they are.they are the difference between challenging or not next season.how anybody could call mk professional and organised after the wexford debacle beats me.

We will have to wait on the outcome from the wexford match before we hang anyone out to dry,but i would side with jaorta in saying the jury is still out on mk,cant agree that he is the best since big sam a lot of people on here have little time for mike but i think there are good times ahead if the team progresses in the same manner as this year.

again lads i wrote he is the most prof and orginised i never said he was the best thing since the sliced pan. and again wait till wednesday before judging on where or where not to hang the guy. btw it was the team who brought to the attention the "conditions" in wexford to MK he stood up for them.

Collopy is as good a keeper you'll get at shot stopping and dealing with back passes.
He has a great kick on him, very good keeper, and a sound chap too.
