Never being to one. I know RTE orchetsra do Battleship Potemkin regulary in the National Concert Hall.

The RTE Concert Orchestra are doing Western Themes on October 10th in the Helix, DCU.

I went to see 'La Haine' about six or seven years ago with Asian Dub Foundation performing a live score. Was a very enjoyable experience.. I thought it worked well - with a foreign language film you'll be reading subtitles anyway.

As far as I know there are a few versions of Battleship Potemkin on the internet with different types of music.. I remember seeing one version set to Arcade Fire songs on youtube once.

My ssiter brought my gran to the cineman to see Braveheart about 10-15 years ago. It was the first time she'd been to the cinema in years. She asked my sister where the orchestra was...
