it's a grand idea, as far as I'm concerned he's never let us down...

Agree there Xlex, I wouldn't mind seeing Silke get a chance. He seems to be the forgotten man recently.Has never let us down, one mistake against Shels at the start of the season and he's dropped.Having been with Galway he'd definitely be up for it.

Team: Digger, Dillo, McGovern, Silke, Gartland, Kirby, Spud (who had a very good game last Fri), Vinny, Prunty, Francis and Kelly.

well if Spud continues at centre midfield then surely Keogh would get in ahead of Vinny

Is Foley allowed play for Galway? When will Barrett be back in action?
I always liked Silke playing, was there a falling out over an incident in the Stillary a while back or am I mistaken??

Foley can't play, it's stipulated in the loan agreement...
Silke can't get past McGovern and I doubt it has anything to do with this incident in the Stillery...

What was it that happened in the Stillery?

Pip hasn't been playing that well of late..Against Shels and Cork he was poor and we lacked the edge in the middle of the park, esp up in Tolka where Stuie Byrne was having an off night (shock horror)...The combination of Vinny and Spud worked in Drogheda.. Don't know whether Pip has been training this week, was very sick with flu..Against the likes of Mark Herrick and Fran Carter we need some weight in the middle of the field..(Excuse the pun Vinny)

Wasn't there something about him getting sprayed with pepper spray or something along those lines. Can't remember and never heard the full story anyway. But I don't think he has played much for the first team since. At the time he was doing well in the center.
Does Gartland play in midfield, I don't think Spud is a midfielder, we have a lot of options in the back four, but the story of our season is a weak midfield. Whats the story with Paisley??

Wasn't it barry that was sprayed with pepper spray.I'd go with

Digger
Dillon Mcgovern Silke Gartland

Kirby Murphy Pip Prunty

Francis Kelly

Basically the team from fri minus eric and barry. Its tough between vinny and pip but ya have to look at it this way vinnys given away 2 pens in his last 2 games.
