Bought a Packard Bell computer recently(not sure model)! Went a bought Logitech Speakers Ls11. But have tried them and they don't work with the computer. The speakers work for sure, because i tried ipod and DS on it. Why would this be happening. Surely the Computer has a soundcard? Please help. Getting frustrated!

Have you made sure that the volume control is up and on (not muted)? (start -> all programmes -> accessories -> entertainment)
Where are you plugging in the speakers?
Are you playing a CD or something, what are you using to test this.
Is there a port for headphones at the front of the PC? Can you plug some in and test?

Problem with your sound card so. Where you plug in the speakers, the port with the music icon, does it look like a PCI Card Slot or is it built in? I'm asking is it possible to take out/put back in the sound card if its a PCI Card Slot or put in a new card?

Packard Bell Computers seem to give issues with everything and anything

hopefully it is nothing like some of those horror stories.
Try going into your sound settings in the control panel and see if the configuration is set to speakers and not internal audio
Or if you can access the bios on boot up see if the audio is switched on in there

Could it be the sound card's drivers? That'd be easy to fix anyway.

I'm a bit unsure on the how - depends on how the computer was put together - is it custom at all? As for fixing it, you just pop in the drivers and utilities disc and click on whatever's in the audio section. I think it's unlikely to be the problem, but it's easy to check.
