Tough game for College down in Clane, twice pegged back by a useful Kildare side. Goals from Connolly, Falconer and Dineen for UCD.

I feel Kildare deserved at least a draw. There was some good passing by both sides during the miserable weather in the first half.
Was it David McMillan who hit the bar from at least 30 yards in the first half?

Indeed it was, cracking free-kick. Yes perhaps a draw would have been a fairer result as UCD were really left hanging on at the end, but it's hard to begrudge them the hard-won victory I feel!

That result sees UCD through to the quarters with Bray (as indeed a draw would have).

under 20s never had to pull a match because of lack of numbers,usually only have 12 or 13,there was only once they had the bare 11...

none of the longford players know what is goin on,no manager...he resigned after not getting the senior job and generally due to the way he was treated over the last few months...

im not surprised cawley has left the club he was treated poorly especially by callaghan and perth.. he doesnt deserve us im afraid. .whats the odds of him getting the athlone town job??

Kildare 0 Bray Wanderers 3 - Scorer's Shane O Neill (2) Ian Tuohy, AFAIK Bray will play Dundalk in Qtr Final at Carlisle Ground W/E 10th Jan.

New manager played most of the Under 17s.


Aertel says we won 9-0. It's a bit harsh to send young lads to the slaughter like that isn't it?


The Under 17s have an important cup game at the end of January in the last 16 of the Leinster Youths (U18 Cup) against Wexford Youths and don't have any games in the DDSL until then so using the Under 20s as a way of keeping them fit.

It was probably a bad game for them to be put in but i would be confident of results in the last 3 games against St Pats and 2 against Longford

Saw this result and remembered this conversation.
Looks like that Town's preparation worked out for them this weekend.

Dundalk beat Ballyfermot Utd 3-2 away aswell.
