This is the first division, its a cesspit of trialists & wannabes, havebeens & coulda woulda shoulda greying picking up the check see ya in the bar later slack jawed lackeys. I think our team is too nice, not enough edge. Were the USA Ryder Cup wives of the Eircom league and I want change. This team needs more Punks playing for it & im hopeful under the new Perth regime. We need players in the attitude of Vinny himself in his playing days. This aint no rolling around diving division so for next year we need to see personality & let teams know there in a game. We need tacklers that leave snots hanging from lads noses & other teams looking at the ref instead of getting on with it. I dont want filth just pure Punk assed spirit, fury & desire.
After reading the above is Daire Doyle worthy of the 700 odd Euro a week the club has been forced to pay this Romantic lead understudy in a Trinity College drama or are we better in getting a PUNK from the streets who actually wants it?
Discuss.

Maybe Johnny Rotten up front with Gints. Or maybe Sid Vicious as a midfield terrier alongside Vinny. Oh wait, Sid is dead isnt he..

Sure aren't Sligo managed by the drummer from the Sex Pistols?

in fairness to vinny from seein them over the last two games the spirit is definitely back in a big way.....he could be a serious contender for the job at the end of the season the way he is conducting himself at present...

Is there not a small matter called "coaching qualifications/badges" standing in the way of Vinny been a manager for next season ?? I am of the understanding that Des Cawley is the man there with the qualifications at the moment so if he goes the club are in bother again ! I maybe wrong but heard this from a very reliable person.

Is Vinny not working towards obtaining the relevant badges?
Oh yeah my point about Daire Doyle above hasnt been adressed by anyone yet. Any takers?

Ninjas? Pah! Pirates are what you need. Plunder and pillage points, laugh heartily at the lamentations of their women, save money on petrol for the team bus by taming the wind.

The current team is far too nice and respectful on the field that's true. I'd say we have the best discipliniary record in the division this season (only 1 sending off and few yellows). We could bring back John Cleary's team from the mid-90's. I think there was one season where we received as many red cards as we did points. He was player-manager and was leading the sending's off count if I remember correctly. Most of them lads from that team are probably now in their late-thirties or early-forties, but they've still gotta be better than Damien Rushe.
Daire Doyle on 700 euro a week - it's so laughable and painful at the same time.
