Waterford away 19/8/09

Heading to my first away game tonight, looking forward to it. Should be a good game but some of our lads might be taking it easy avoiding injury before the big game next week.
Fully fit squad but with us dreaming of saturday week i expect Waterford to win by a couple.

Sidenote: Did i see Garret Larkin and Darren Browne on the gardyin playing fro Ajax? I presume they're both finished with the youths then. J FoC seems to be playing a lot of hurling and football for the duffry too, how long can he burn the candle at both ends?

After the great result in Fingal they should be full of confidence anyway. Worst possible thing to do the week before a final would be try and take it easy, no surer way of getting injured or of getting a demoralising beating.

I'm hopeful that they'll come out fighting, with starting places in the cup final up for grabs and the extra buzz of a local derby. Mick's first team is never predictable so a big performance might land someone a starting place, a poor performance could see lads missing the biggest game of their lives.

I'm hoping to carry on building momentum and produce another quality attacking performance.
