The number of fans at the Harps-drogs match wearing Liverpool gear was incredible. I thought I was watching Liverpool at home! :D

Also, the number of Chelski/Combat 18 supporters is also on the increase here - they will all be wondering Monday why "we" lost to "united" at home.

This type of legends game have put Galway in a lot of trouble according to the press - they owe some Belfast company a big whack. It basically didn't pay them.

No picture of a Harps legend to put on one side of poster?

Obviously the Finn Harps brand doesn't sell as well as the Jason McAteer brand

Same company as is doing this one by the sounds of things, John Aldridge is involved with them. It cost Galway €35k but if I remember correctly didn't they have a Man Utd Legends v. Liverpool Legends game? Might explain the cost.

What was written in the papers about the financial situation between Galway United and the company behind the legends game was built upon fabrications.

Of course it was.

I just hope Harps pay all the bills before spending the money.

Its not costing €35k ill guarantee it.

Its growsports in Belfast they are booked through.

As for the match not paying off, well a hell of alot of work is going into this and so far match tickets are selling very well plus the Gala dinner with both teams afterwards is a major sucess with only a few tables left to sell.

Local media has been superb towards us, Highland radio is doing a great job promoting the game with interviews of Aldridge and McAteer already aired. The local newspapers have interviews with Alan Kenedy, Aldridge and a few more to follow. The interest in the area is massive at the minute and we are well on target as regards money.
