Can a members club go into examinership? I always thought you had to be a limited company for that. Anyone know the rules?

Didn't think you could to be honest. It's applied for under the Companies Acts anyhow.

It's more to do with Drogheda and Cork than us.

they might do, but remember if revenue have not recieved their money they can make Cobh bankrupt and sell their assets. they have the power to do anything they wish, they will not wait for their money .. assets worth 3m maybe.
Now is the time to see all the true Cobh supports banding together and saving their club but again have the will. Now is the time to shut up..talking will not earn you money like other clubs F U N D R A I S I N G will.
Get off your asses work with the club.. do not call another EGM or AGM work with the commette even if you do not like the CHAIRMAN they come and go.. remember you only have one more chance to save your club.,

Positive threads from now on lets see what your going to do.
Do not reply if your going to talk about the chairman the players the weather , the dog in the street.. the dark side all the money that you spent.. IT ALL HISTORY

arent we still waiting for the FAIs report, which will no doubth involve a lot of restructuring, with all citys potential investors surely there is someone similar in cobh that would be willing to take over the runing of ramblers, as i dont think the membership is a viable option for the club going forward,

sorry lads i think the only way is to get rid of the mebership

maybe your right re leadership I do not know the guy.
But if investors came in your members will have to vote to accept them in, more than likely investors could take the control away from the members. Do they want that.

lads and this is only an opinion, what investor in their right mind would want to get involved with this club with the current structures in place, have been at a few agm/egm/info meetings and the club is didvided completely. DR is right if you do get an investor hand control to him completely

Thread on there since yesterday.

Lads could somebody tell me who takes care of dealing with reporters on matchday? Trying to contact somebody all week and nobody will return calls or emails. Just looking to make sure there is a place there for me Saturday night

And badly.

For the Cobh-centric thinkers, you only got a brief mention as Richie Sadlier namechecked the clubs in trouble. Nothing substantial about you.

I would imagine most if not all members have the clubs best interests at heart, so if it meant the club changing it's structure and not running as a members club I don't think there would be any problems as long as they believed it was going to be run correctly.
