For playing in a regular DVD player. How do I go about it? Free tools?

this is what I use. Not sure if I took it of this site, but I have never had to pay for it and have it on the pc for 2 years+. Can convert between most video formats. WinAvi its called:
here (http://www.winavi.com/en/download/download.htm)

ConvertXtoDVD is the best that i have used, it has a bunch of menus you can add and shows you previews of what it will look like. You need a license key (i have a working one if you want it) otherwise your dvd will be watermarked.

WinAVI looks great, but unfortunately the trial overlays a watermark on the output, and I ain't paying for something I'm only going to use once.

Boo_boy, thanks for the recommendation but not the key, I don't steal from developers and I don't like when people discuss it on Foot.ie either.

Any open source equivalent out there?

I paid for the license key.No doubt you did, but you offered it to me, and I didn't. I'm not judging, just asking that you don't do that on Foot.ie please, I don't want this bunch of muppets (http://w3.bsa.org/ireland/) bothering me.
