No kudos deserved, I nominated it myself. It's been around for a long time, I reckon it's due something. :)

I don't think we've a hope of winning best forum up against Boards, but Sports'd be nice. For longetivity maybe? :)

I presume this is live via webcam & everyone "attends" remotely?

Mods must not be mentioned in acceptance speech or might be difficult to explain all those posts at work ;)

Same format as the Blog Awards (http://awards.ie/blogawards/) I'd imagine, which was quite well attended when I went last year as a sponsor. Good craic actually, nice and informal compared to the rest of the (monstrous) Irish web awards.

(I'm reliably informed (http://verbo.se/footie-longlisted-for-irish-web-awards/#comment-11711) that I'm not the only one that nominated Foot.ie btw. Which is nice.)

Jeez it's confusing when stuff gets removed as you read the thread! And there was me about to make a desperately inappropriate joke about how maybe the Skitz's other personality actually likes the site.

So who actually decides who wins the awards BTW?

The first round is judged (http://awards.ie/webawards/awards-scorecard/) afaik, to choose shortlists. I'm not sure what happens then, think there might be a popular vote.
