Shamrock Rovers 0-2 Cork City

TEN-man Shamrock Rovers survived for 66 minutes of their re-arranged eircom League clash in Cork tonight before Kevin Murray and George O'Callaghan plundered the second half goals to give Cork their second league win in five days.

After a goalless first half, the game erupted to life with Trevor Croly's 55th minute sending off for a second yellow card and minutes later Cork rattled the back of the Rovers net twice in the space of five minutes.

For the second time this season at the 'Cross, Rovers had a player sent off as Croly got his marching orders for dragging down Kevin Doyle on the edge of the box having been booked earlier for a oul on O'Callaghan in the 25th
minute.

Last time Rovers were in Cork, on August 15 last, when they were beaten 1-0 they had Stephen McGuinness red carded.
