So will there be a repeat of our 3-0 league cup win against them at the same stage of that competition???I doubt it,but seeing as we are half way to Division 1(I cant admit it yet that we are down because we arent) then the cup is a very nice bonus and we have to go for it on Friday.Jeff said after the Cobh disaster that he wont play 451 anymore so i assume it will be 442.Also,will he stick with Molloy after the chances he missed down in Cobh?
Bray are comfortable in mid-table so they can go all out for it too.
Im gonna go with 1-0 to us.

Problem is our midfield as Murphs & Davoren are cup tied and Jay is suspended so who to play
My Team:
Rogers
Conneely Jeff Fitz Keano
Russell Foley Lester Marco
Jesper Molloy
Molloy wasnt great against Cobh but he has to start ahead of glynn as his attuide seems to be gone(anyone who was at A game last sat will agree)
Hopfully we can sneak it but I fear a reply in bray on Tuesday night

Keano isn't ready to come in yet. Maybe next week.
I saw him playing against UCD in the A League game and that is my opinion on his situation at the moment.

Sorry to say but when you look at the squad for the game on Friday we don't have enough qualtity in it so 3-1 to Bray .

yea bray have nothing to loose - we will have the usual pressure at home and a depleted squad - a draw maybe

With the 3 lads missing, and Glynn's head anywhere but on the job, can't see us doing it.
Missing our 2 wingers is a big big blow.
Last light of the season to be doused tomorrow night with 2-0 win to Bray

Jayos suspension is a league one so its just Murphs & Davo Missing out. Switch Molloy out wide and stick Lester or Foley beside Russeler and Daisy upfront and were still as strong as we were.

According to the website, O'Shea is missing:
'Iarfhlaith Davoren and Alan Murphy will miss out as both are cup tied and winger Jay O'Shea is suspended. Striker Derek Glynn has also being ruled out with a Chest Infection. '

You are only about 10 min walk to Eyre Square - Plenty of pubs around there for a drink

A win tonight could be a great help financially, so hopefully the players should be up for it.Would nice to see a decent crowd out for it, but I wouldn't expect much. The support for any sporting team in Galway has totally collapsed in recent years, I suppose we are living in the modern era of only attending "gala events " or those with the dreaded celeberity interest. A win would help lift some of the gloom though.

it's nothing to do with that, it's the fact we've only won 3/4 meaningful games at home since we came up last year and the average sporting fan won't come week in week out to see a team lose!!

I just knew we wouldnt hold out,we probably shaded it though overall.Pi** poor marking for their goal but its not a surprise. We are STILL in the cup though and Bray are at about the same the level as us id say so we can definatly still get through.
Poor attendanc,i was thinking before the match that because it was on t.v and radio that that would affect the attendence and it did, very dissappointing though.

We did very well in the first half but Bray came out for the second like their lives depended on it , we just looked like we had run out of steam and were happy to hang on to a draw . Again I would say fitness levels were poor with a few .

we appeared to be all huff and puff as usual but with no end product
bray had very little play but when they did they were dangerous - we have so many players that are poor at passing
russell as usual the only live wire out there
Will be very tough in the replay i think.Bray are not miles ahead of us in general standard of play though and so we shouldnt fear them at all. They are very good however at grinding out results and hence the difference between us and them in the league.Im torn between us winning tomorrow night and winning on Friday which we also need to do but heres hoping for 2 wins in 2 big games.
Russell is our best player i think but he gets F all protection from Refs and gets kicked around the place in the every game.O'Donnell a few weeks ago was the only player to get sent off for hacking him down this season when at least 4 others should been too.

This result might get a few more punters through the gate on Friday night.
Jeff just said on the radio that he wants an away draw in the semi finals. I hope we get an away draw against Cork City, assuming they beat Derry in the replay.

I'd rather an away trip to Fingal
Brilliant result listened on RTE 1 and they heaped praise on the team and their tactics. Was more disgusted on friday night by the pathetic attendance (829) than the performance. We need to get across to the galway sporting public that we need the revenue to keep the club going.
