After weeks of hype and build up on Sky I was more than a little amused after last night. :)

Then I realised people acually paid to watch it on the telly. :D

The "full fight" was on Youtube last night, probably been taken down by now, if not don't blink or you'll miss it. The jaw wobble in slow-mo says it all really. :)
*Still on Youtube here it is (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1hLX9j1gEg)

I thought it was an absolute disgrace for Sky to put an AVERAGE boxer like Khan on paperview and then have the cheek to charge €22 for it!

watched it on the net last night. If the Colombian had gone down like Khan did for the first knockdown the fight would have been stopped........this is the same ref who stopped the Calzaghe/Manfredo junior fight prematurely a while back. Funny that. I wish I was sitting across from Warren when that left hook landed. Priceless. Some people can take a punch, other Khan't :)
The best bit is that this Colombian has never fought anybody remotely decent. He had a hell of a padded record and Warren saw the £££ signs.

Lovely stuff..... hate Khan, just reminds me of Prince Naseem. :D

Friendly, quite humble guy - nothing like Naseem Hamed. Very talented fighter but with no chin whatsoever. I for one was disappointed when he lost - always enjoy his fights. Agree with the comments re sky though. 22 Euros is ridiculous

now they are trying to blame khan's new trainer saying he should never have set a fight up between kahn and prescott. any excuse.

Whats your point ? Young inexperienced driver causes accident shocker. I've heard him talk about this, he was deeply ashamed and embarrassed by it. To be honest it could happen to anyone. The fact that he wasn't charged with dangerous driving but the far less serious driving without due care indicates to me that this was a moment of youthful madness that tragically led to the poor mans demise. It says nothing to me about Khans humility or integrity.

always found him quite humble to be honest, dont see why people are so anti-kahn

OJ didnt get done for murder either so does that make him a nice guy? he's (Khan) been done twice now for his actions behind the wheel so his 'ashamed' and 'embarrassed' PR stunt is a load of crap IMO.
As for the anti-Khan feeling, anyone who's overpaid and overhyped should expect it, nothing to do with racism as im sure some of you will put it down to.

just out of interest and on a somewhat related theme, why do you have Prussian Blue in your signature?

Glass chin, for a supposed world level fighter he's been knocked down way too much so early in his career.

Too much is made of a defeat in boxing. If you fight good fighters then you can lose.Unfortunately that is why most of them will not fight any decent opposition and are just put in against guys that do what is expected of them(lose) This is why profesional boxing has become discredited.Whats wrong with losing to the better guy on the night. If you are fighting decent opposition then you may lose one or two.
For some reason modern boxers are not allowed to have defeats on their records.

What a ridiculous comparison:rolleyes:

He hit the guy and got away with it, it dont make him a nice guy, proved by the fact that he got done for driving at 150 MPH with no insurance and Licence a year later.

I saw that sig and meant to ask the same thing. They're the white supremacist twins aren't they? Strange young ones for definite. Anyhoo, back on topic I think for a lot of people the hate for Khan is to do with the loathing of the hype of the British media in all its forms which blows up any half talented young Briton into a superstar before they've achieved anything of real significance in their field, in Khan's case the pro boxing game.

Sure are! perfect ammo for aiming at commies. ;)
Your theory regarding the dislike for Khan is spot on (imo) I wouldnt have even brought up his motoring mishaps if people didnt try to tell me he's a good guy on the evidence of what they have been fed, through whatever British media outlet.

Prussian Blue and RATM cant be compared as they are a world apart
like comparing Metallica to the Eagles:rolleyes:
A Khan always comes across as a nice guy, but way overrated. I watched a few of his fights and it was obvious he was no good, I mean by now he should have fought a few decent boxers.
I always thought he would be destroyed if he came upon a Mexican. So surprised he is gone as quick as I thought

Just Found out the other day that I'm related to Khan, His mother Annie is my grandmothers sister, what does that make him? my second cousin I think? Any way the guy is less British than Ray Houghton or Andy Townsend. Is mother is Irish and his Father is Pakistani he just happened to have been born in England

Noticed how news of his irish mother mother only came out when he lost...
Typical Brits! ;)
Monkfish, if you're going to be talking about people talking something you say as rascist, and be annoyed at that, you might want to think about changing your sig. And for the record the only person who mentioned race was yourself.
