fair play to sean a true legend around shannon .. one of the best players ever to come out of shannon and i had the unfortunate job of trying to mark him on numerous occasions :ball:

don't judge a player by 1 game .. we are talking about his contribution to soccer over the last 20 odd years... nobody mentioned he was ronaldo or the best striker in 4a.. he is also only back after a long injury and just pushing the wrong side of 40 :p

Played against the famous sean last week.,

He obviously still too good for your side he scored two.....

I have played against a lot better this season.
I seriously doubt you will come across a more intelligent player in this division.

The way you are talking about him you would swear he is ronaldo.,
No one said he is Ronaldo. We said he was Ronaldo....

Not even the best striker in 4A,

Not far off the best and as Old Git said he is nearing 40. Does say much for your defence if he can score 2 past you.

Sounds like Shels are coping well without me. Fair play lads. Keep it up. If ye win anything, then send my medal over to Sydney for me. I played the first three games, so deserve it. :p

I know they lurk on here. Keith, you must be managing to stay onside. It only took me about four years to teach you. :D

park b are looking unstoppable at the moment, shannon town the only team to take points off them so far. gav lundy seems to be scoring for fun how many has he got so far,?? who were park playing?? town played a very average mungret team, score could have been much higher if people took their chances,

Shels are a very good footballing team all look comfortable on the ball and back 4 is very solid.there wont be much between them and park at the end of the season.they have not played each other yet.that should be a good game.having seen both teams play shels look the better team.

Park were playing Parkville at Ballycasey, Parkville were shocking and the home side dominated from start to finish. The scoreline flatters Parkville.

Park AFC are favourites to win the title this season.

Park currently sit at the 3rd of the table, and are expected to enhance their championship credentials with a win at home to Lisnagry at the weekend.

Park can move above Shels in the table if they win their game this week and Shels Cathal O'Shea accepts their arch-rivals are now in the driving seat.

"They're the clear favourites to win the title," said O'Shea. "We're working hard to compete with them and finish above them and we're on course to achieve that.

"We know it's possible for us to win this season but we have to fight to the very end to do so.

"It's obvious that we know all about them. They are full of champions of and they are in the driving seat with the game in hand.

"We know the class they have in their team. They have some of the best players in the world." Including Thomas "Monk" McDade and Dave Magee adds a new attacking demention to the team also, after all he is the current Ballon D'or winner and favourite for FIFA world player of the year. As for young McDade, widely touted as the next Paulo Maldini and also a threat from left back.

Yeah they have, i remember when i first played for them six years ago it was against St Micheals of Tipp in a friendly and they won 3-2 playing some great football.

But cause of factors like numbers at training, managers leaving and most damaging losing solid players to other local teams Holycross have struggled in recent years.

Like names of players that come to my head are

Micheal Ryan,Kieran Fitz,Scruff,Donal McCarthy (Castle Rovers), John & Liam Mulcahy (Herbertstown) , Liam O'Donoghue (Pallas), John Barry,Niall Riordan and Razor (Croom), Damien Griffin (Australia), Ray Hourigan, Grieg McSporran would have been on any premier team (Scotland), there were two polish lads that were very good but went back to poland and i can name at least 6 or 7 other lads who now play with Killamllock, Knockainey and Bruff.

all these lads and ,i know i have missed least 3 or more, were good solid players and enjoyed playing with them, If they were playing in a team now they would be very hard to beat in my opinion.

This game on this sunday should be a cracking game.shels at home so i think they just might shade it.the team that gets the most points from the two games they will play against each other will win the league

it wont be easy for park to win this league, if we (shannon town) didnt have such a terrible start to this season i believe we would be up around the top, but you never know in football so i wouldnt totally rule out town for promotion,

i remember playing against hlycross A team a few years back and they gave us a right good game, lovely side. you could've been playing!

i hate to see a club go into a slide like this. hopefully they'll turn it around. saw the B team this season and they had absolutely no interest at all. i know it's 4A but still like, you'd expect a bit more of an effort, just strolled around the pitch. saw the A team once and they're just not good enough for 1B. when you see that Abbey were premier a few years back and could be in 2B next season, it's amazing how easy it is to slide down the leagues

i would have been the one with the scots accent giving abuse to the referee :D i would have been playing either in Goals, left back , centre half, left mid or centre mid... was moved around a lot :)

In the last few years they implemented at big under age teams and have had a great response, when i played for them firstly, the players that were in the team had played with each other from under age to youths and then junior.. i think this is what has to happen again for holycross so it might take few years but i do expect to see them bringing a good side through in future. :)

Think town will beat holycross by 3 or 4 if they even show up.parkville were ment to play them in holycross a few weeks ago and only 4 players turned up

Park have a added a few new faces to the team and some quality at that too.

I wouldnt be holding my breath for a Shels win on Sunday, especially having lost their leading scorer.

Then again i wouldnt hold my breath for the game to actually go ahead because of the weather, Shela A have a game at home in the morning too.
