I see Rodgers was kind of claiming credit for turning Luis Suarez into a world class player yesterday (something Suarez seems to agree with). Hopefully he can do something similar for our Stokesy.

I think Anthony's performances against Germany and Kazakhstan were decent enough. I certainly think he showed more than Andy Keogh (Italy friendly in Belgium notwithstanding) and Simon Cox ever did.

With forward options aging, surely he will become a pivotal player for us in the next qualifying campaign if he makes any kind of impact with Blackburn.

Honestly, I don't think Stokes has it in him to be consistent at the level we need but I'm completely up for him throwing that back in my face.

Have to disagree. Let's see if he can stay in the team, continue to work hard and score a couple of goals first. He has not impressed as a player for a consistent or prolonged period for a long time now.
