Question Do we need full time referees in the EL?

After reading the various points about referees in the EL, I would like to get peoples opinions on whether it is time that the EL now had full time referees as in other countries (eg England).

Only reply if you have something constructive to offer. This is not a thread to slag off present refs in the EL

This isn't intended as a slag, but unless the full-time referrees would be answerable to an independant body reviewing their performance there's no point.

I think on the whole it'd be a good thing, but I can't see it happening to be honest.

    .................................................. ........

I'd have to agree with the sound of the clock ..... TikTok. eL Refs at the moment are putting in below parr performances. And it is being highlighted all to often now when you see other refs (in Europe etc.) showing how it should be done.

The standard poor and it needs to be addressed ... if going full time sorts it then i think it is the way to go.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
